In Brief: Your Essence Number indicates the summary of the influences and opportunities on and of your life, year by year.

When trying to understand your essence numbers above all, remember:

The Essence Number, which is based on your name is a yearly indicator of the possibilities that can influence your life during a particular time frame. It can be used to look at changes, beginnings, endings and cycles during a particular time.

Your Essence Number uses the letters in your name in what might be called transits of your name, to arrive at important yearly (and cyclic) information for your life. Each year, your Essence number will be formed by a combination of transits (or letters) from your name. Typically, Your first Essence number is based on the transits of the first letter of your first name, the first letter of your middle name (if you have one), and the first letter of your last name, their values totaled, defining the tone of the year from birth to age one. The chart provided will help you to see how this is done.

Each letters Numerological value indicates how long it will have on an influence on your life. Each letter represents an influence and lasts for an equivalent number of years relative to their Numerological placement in the alphabet. Each individual letter (or transit) by itself conveys an important meainging/message, which can be read in the context of a full Essence table of events reading.

With the essence numbers, we build a "table of events" which analyzes each essence number for each year of your life. Consider that if we were to do a chart for Alfred Brian Smith. The first name is Alfred, then, an A would be placed under the F (for First Name) column. Its influence would be felt for one year (age 0 to 1). The influence of the L would be felt for the next 3 years (age 1 to 3), and the influence of the F would be felt for next 6 years, or approximate from age 4 to 10.
